The small chapel offers a wonderful setting for weddings. Kaiserin Elisabeth Ruhe (Kahlenberg) The Kaiserin Elisabeth Ruhe is located on Villenweg, near the viewpoint on the Kahlenberg. Even Elisabeth loved the view of the city from the Kahlenberg and liked to come here. Hopefully she had her rest here. Monument at Vienna’s Westbahnhof The Westbahnhof used to be called Empress Elisabeth Westbahnhof and that’s why we also find a Sisi statue there. It’s a bit off the top floor. There is a statue of Sisi on the north tower of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, as well as a monument in the Lainzer Tiergarten near the Hermesvilla. A Sisi figure adorns the Südtiroler Platz in Salzburg near the main train station. Many streets and squares in Vienna are named after Elisabeth, e.g. Elisabethstraße in the 1st district, or the Empress Elisabeth Hospital bears her name. You can admire many Sisi monuments in Hungary in particular, but also in Corfu, Madeira, Possenhofen, Merano, Trieste, Montreux, Geneva and Bad Kissingen, to name but a few.
